A Checklist for Good Moods and Bad Moods

I was wondering... do you have a mental checklist that you use to get through the day? Maybe you have one for school days and one for weekends. But this is what I'm really wondering about--do you have a "good mood checklist" and "bad mood checklist..." Or maybe you just-kind-of have no checklist at all?

A Good Mood Checklist might go like this:

  1. Burst out of bed
  2. Smile really big and hug the family
  3. Walk with a bounce
  4. Coo and tickle the pets and the little ones
  5. Say Hi to everyone--even strangers and strange people

On the other hand, a Bad Mood Checklist might go like this:

  1. Moan a lot before dragging yourself out of bed
  2. Scowl and flinch away from the family
  3. Slink around with drooping shoulders OR snarl, stomp, and slam things
  4. Kick or tease the pets and the little ones
  5. Ignore everyone--especially the people who like you.

So, how about it? Do you have a mental checklist for the mood you're in? Or am I totally off my rocker by asking?

I do not have a checklist. I just don't bother with that. I don't think you're off your rocker for asking. Some people probably do.

First no you are not off your rocker for asking. Second no I really don't have a checklist. I get out of bed sometimes the hard way. Put water on the stove let Jet out and sit to watch Sports Center. Bet you have never heard of a girl who watchs sports center every morning well you know me so well how would that work? If you know me then you know someone that watches then again you are probabitiy just found so..... I'M SO CONFUSSED! Well better go before I confuse myself any more.

Hey there Auntie! Okay, I know I'm not technically in any of your classes or even go to your school, or a school any near you at that but you are like a teacher to me, I mean like you have taught me a lot of valueable lesseons, so it works. You are totally not off your rocker asking this sort of question, it's a very creative question. It really got me thinking. I don't know if I have a checklist for good moods and bad moods. I DO know though that if I don't get a full eight hours of sleep at night I'm not the happiest of people, I tend to be a little ( a lot ) cranky. Well you know me and you know how I can be when i am really tired, either i am zoning anything anyone say out or I am really mean to everyone (i.e. my brother) Also I know that if I don't eat breakfast in the morning i dont feel good later on that day and never puts someone in a good mood. So I guess sort have a checklist for good moods and bad moods, I mean for a good mood I need to make sure I sleep well and eat breakfast, and for a bad mood do the exact oppisite. Anyway I got to go so I'll see you this summer which is not very far off.

Madelyn - Hello, my neice!!! Sounds like you've got a pretty good idea about what triggers some of your moods. One time someone told me that a king had this quote engraved on the inside of his ring, "This, too, shall pass." It was meant to be an inspiration for hard times, that nothing lasts forever... But then, that also applies to the good times, doesn't it? Hmmm... Oh well, I hope you can come visit the ranch this summer! ~LoveAuntConnie

I don't think that you're "off your rocker" for asking that, but I just don't have a morning checklist, because I just do things as they happen.

No you're not off of your rocker, Ms. Flecther. You are just overly curious. I may seem all happy and joyful, but in the morning I hate everyone and everything, that lives in my house, is not an animal, and doesn't belong to me, and usually ignore them all until I leave. It's the only way to survive the endless fighting and my mother's nagging. I get over it though. But I have a bad mood, I just seem happy.

I rarely leave a response, but i did a few searching and wound up here "A Checklist for Good Moods and Bad Moods".

And I actually do have some questions for you if you usually do not mind.
Is it only me or does it seem like some of the responses
come across like left by brain dead folks?
